Large group orders: quantity is not a catering quote

This calculator estimates portions, not a restaurant’s bulk-order capacity or discount policy. For an office lunch or party, give the store your collection date, time, pizza quantities and dietary requests. Ask whether it can prepare that quantity, whether advance ordering is needed, and whether any group offer applies. We have not verified a nationwide catering package or automatic bulk discount.

Check the restaurant’s hours, label boxes if guests need different toppings, and record the full order total. A regular menu photo does not prove that catering equipment, delivery or serving supplies are included.

For a party, estimate portions before comparing prices. With an illustrative allowance of three slices per adult and eight slices per pizza, 10 adults need four pizzas, 20 need eight and 30 need 12. These are planning assumptions, not restaurant serving recommendations or a guarantee that everyone will eat the same amount.

A quick planning table

Adults Assumed slices 8-slice pizzas
10 30 4
20 60 8
30 90 12

Adjust for your group

Use two slices per adult for a light meal with substantial sides, three for an average planning allowance, or four for a hungry group. A two-slice child allowance is only a starting point; teenagers and younger children may need very different portions. Ask guests about appetite and preferences rather than relying on age alone.

Calculate your own quantity

Our pizza party calculator lets you enter adults, children, slices per person and slices per pizza. It rounds up to whole pizzas and offers optional extra portions. If a different item has a different serving count, enter that count instead of assuming eight.

Choose the actual products

Keep whole round pizzas separate from deep-dish lunch portions and Slices-N-Stix trays. Cheese bread pieces should not silently count as pizza slices. Start with the number of complete pizzas, then decide whether guests want cheese, pepperoni or another topping. Mixed dietary needs may require separate choices and direct ingredient checks.

Plan pickup and budget

Choose a restaurant, confirm that it can prepare your order and arrange a realistic pickup time. For a large order, ask the restaurant about advance notice. Multiply the actual local price by the pizza count; add sides, tax and delivery charges separately. The calculator uses a price you enter and does not supply a nationwide quote.

Questions

Do sides reduce the pizza count? They may, but reduce the slice allowance deliberately rather than assuming any side replaces a fixed number of slices.

Should I order an extra pizza? Use the optional buffer when you want spare portions, then arrange prompt storage for leftovers.
